Teaching Christians More Effectively

Description: A video training program endorsed by the US National Spiritual Assembly...at the Baha'i Centre.

In Canada, 67% of the population identify themselves as Christians. In the US the percentage is even higher. And yet, according to Dr. David Young, many Baha'is and Baha'i institutions have not systematically prepared for the Christians that we know will be investigating the Baha'i Faith and to have answers to the questions that we already know they will be asking. Dr. Young currently serves as Chairman of the US National Spiritual Assembly.

In this series of ten, one hour videos Dr. Young provides us with the tools and skills that we need to effectively teach our Christian friends and to be able to show them the spiritual connection between Christ and Baha'u'llah, a connection without which these friends often will have little or no interest in learning about the Baha'i Faith. It is anticipated that this training program will provide us with a new enthusiasm and a new confidence, helping us to become more capable of seeing teaching opportunities.

It should be noted that this presentation is appropriate for Baha'is or very close friends of the Faith only, as this material may be sensitive to friends who have little or no background about the Faith from the perspective of its relationship to Christianity.

Please join us for this video series which will take place weekly over a 5 week period at the Baha'i Centre starting Thursday, Oct 4 from 7-9:30 pm.

If you think that you may be attending, please call or text Joan or Mike Saxton at (204) 793-6781 or email m.saxton@shaw.ca so that we can get a rough idea of numbers.
